The Korea Venture Market Institute values your personal information and complies with applicable law.
The Korea Venture Market Institute (the "Institute") protects users' personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and processes personal information as set out below.
1. Items and method of collection
The Institute does not operate a separate membership-registration process or any online collection form. Only when a user makes an inquiry by email (office@kvmi.co.kr) or by telephone, and to the extent necessary to respond, the following information may be provided.
· The name, affiliation, contact details (email/phone) and content of the inquiry that the user voluntarily provides at the time of inquiry.
2. Purpose of use
Collected information is used only to respond to inquiries and to discuss research and advisory collaboration, and for no other purpose.
3. Retention and use period
Collected personal information is retained for the period necessary to respond to the inquiry and to handle any related dispute, and is then destroyed. Inquiries received by email are destroyed within one year after their purpose has been achieved; where retention is required by applicable law, the information is kept for the relevant period.
4. Destruction procedure and method
Personal information whose retention period has elapsed or whose purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are deleted by means that make recovery impossible, and printed materials are shredded or incinerated.
5. Provision to third parties and outsourcing
The Institute does not provide users' personal information to third parties. However, in order to operate the website (hosting, access-log retention and security management) and to send, receive and store inquiry emails, the Institute uses the external services below, ensuring that they are managed safely and in accordance with applicable law within the scope of those tasks. Except where specifically provided by law, the Institute does not provide or outsource personal information to any external party for any other purpose.

· Email: Hiworks (Gabia) — sending, receiving and storage of inquiry emails
6. Security measures
The Institute limits access to personal information to the minimum necessary and takes the measures required by applicable law to ensure that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, forged, altered or damaged.
7. Users' rights
Users may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of the processing of their personal information, and the Institute will act without delay in accordance with applicable law.
